INDIE SPOTLIGHT MONDAY: YOU ONLY DIE ONCE The Series

A new Indiegogo campaign of a fresh new original series from the  short film, by Amanda B. Goodman that won the 2016 Silver Award from The Spotlight Independent Horror Film Awards!

You Only Die Once The Movie

This new series is about 3 lifelong best friends, Cecelia, Linda & Jamie, who are vampire hunters and the way they deal with hunting vampires and dealing with each other..

It’s a horror comedy along the vein of SHAUN OF THE DEAD and ASH VS EVIL DEAD but more female driven story and cast, with a lot of snarky wit and biting humor and lots of blood and gore..  (yes, puns are intended! LOL!)

The short film is absolutely brilliant and very well done that you immediately are hooked on the characters and what they will do in their vampire situations..

We love this new project and adore the short film!  Please  go to their Indiegogo page and help them make this series happen because we need more female empowered series that the women can kick ass and be the heroes!  You will love it!

INDIE SPOTLIGHT MONDAY: Voices in The Darkness

VOICES IN THE DARKNESS, independent horror short film project from Cynthia Pictures and Storm Moon Productions, written by Adam J. Morgan & Pippa Alice Stephens.  They are getting ready to do their crowdfunding page to raise monies to make this film. Another intriguing film project from the UK that needs our help in making it a reality.

“When the voices inside are as loud as those outside.”

‘Voices in the Darkness’ is the story of life in a British mental institution in the 1940s. The cast is small but developed, and the locations are powerful yet limited. With no major stunts or need for large special effects, ‘Voices in the Darkness’ will be made with a relatively limited budget.
It tells the tale of Nurse Jean Wood who, in her late 20s, is working as a Nurse in Winter Hill Asylum, in Gloucester, England. Nurse Wood is being investigated by the Board of Control for some suspicious deaths that she had been present during that time.  Is she responsible or is she involved?
‘Voices’ will be the fourth film produced by Cynthia Pictures; following in the steps of ‘Rosemary’ and ‘The Life of Cynthia’ and the soon to be completed ‘Martha’.

Screenplay Written by Adam J Morgan & Pippa Alice Stephens.

Indie Spotlight Monday: The Last

This week’s Indie Spotlight Monday belongs to The Last. It’s an interesting film that chronicles a man’s last days on Earth. From the Indiegogo:

A terminally ill man spends his last days coping with death and struggles to undo his past sins. While headed to a remote location he stumbles upon a woman. The two become stranded hundreds of miles from civilization. Secrets and lies quickly force them to be suspicious of each other’s intentions. They soon discover that they are not alone. Something dark lives in the woods. Something not human and when it arrives there will be no survivors in its wake.

This movie is aimed for those who love The Evil Dead franchise. Check this one out, it looks like it could be a great one.

Indie Project Monday: Scares that Care

This project is something that is close to my heart. Scares that Care work with several other charities, including the “I Helped Kane” fund, that help childhood illness, breast cancer and childhood burns. The horror community is one that really does give back to our family when they are in pain. Just look over some of the stories that Scares that Care have helped through the years, some have almost nothing. For them, your donations are everything.

On July 22nd – 24th, Scares that Care will have their big weekend in Williamsburg, VA. If you can donate and attend, I advise you to do so. If not, try to give what you can to them. They are outstanding people, and your donations really do people those in need.
